Celebration of Ministries Sunday is Sept. 7
On the first Sunday after Labor Day, Sept. 7, we will observe what is quickly becoming an honored All Saints’ tradition: Celebration of Ministries Sunday. This parish “feast” serves to mark the first day of our official program year.
Every ministry, committee, group and guild will have a banner in the morning’s processions, and the banners range from the stately Cornerstone Society design to the hilarious “runner on a stick” carried by the Morning Run group. The banners march through to Mouret’s “Rondeau” played on the magnificent Kenan Organ and for a moment, the congregation is surrounded by the goodness and blessing the parish has to offer.

After celebrating our offerings in worship, we will celebrate them in fellowship in the courtyard and in Ellis Hall. Each ministry is invited to set up a table with information, sign up sheets and goodies to share. All sorts of saints wander through the offerings to learn more about the parish we love and to give thanks for the abundance God has provided in our midst, an abundance of opportunity, of fellowship, of laughter and service and, of course, of love for God and neighbor.
