Children's & Youth Choirs

karol conducting kids

Musical opportunities for children and youth abound at All Saints' Church. There are choirs for children four years old through twelfth grade. All choirs rehearse weekly throughout the school year and provide special music for Sunday worship and other events in the life of All Saints' parish. These include worship at our Kanuga weekend, St. Nicholas Celebration, Christmas Eve, Ash Wednesday and a musical. The Youth Choir takes an out of town singing trip one weekend of the year.

Our singers give their best to God through their music, the witnessing of their faith, and their commitment.

Our rehearsals are challenging and fun. In addition to preparing special anthems, we learn about the music of the church through the singing of hymns and liturgy. Hymns from different cultures are an important part of our repertoire and are often sung in their original language (Swahili, German, Latin, Spanish).

All our children's choirs wear robes in worship. As they progress through the choirs, children earn beads for their cross necklaces, which are worn with the robe once they begin Junior Choir (third grade). Commitment to choir is recognized at our end-of-year party in May.

Our children's choirs are directed by Karol Kimmell, who came to All Saints’ in 1998. Karol has taught music to young children and directed choirs (adult and children) for over 25 years. All the choirs are accompanied by Rich Mills, who has been a vital part of our program for 17 years.

Come, join our exciting children’s music program at All Saints'. You will be singing your faith the rest of your life!
