With 6 albums under her belt, an active touring career throughout the U.S. and a string of accolades from the likes of The Washington Post, The Village Voice and The New Yorker, Susan Werner has become one of the defining artists of the folk music genre. Her songs effortlessly slide between folk, jazz and pop, and are delivered with a sassy wit and classic Midwestern charm. Susan has been featured on NPR (Marian McPartland's Piano Jazz, Weekend Edition) and was recently named Contemporary Artist of the Year at the 2008 Folk Alliance Conference in Memphis, Tenn.
Her latest album, "The Gospel Truth," is a socially conscious, contemporary gospel album that balances the faithful and the agnostic in one collection of Susan Werner originals. The songs capture the infectious joy of gospel music with lyrics anybody - or, almost anybody - can agree with - and sing along to...
Join us on May 18 as Susan performs many of the songs from "The Gospel Truth." A wine and cheese reception begins at 6:30 p.m. and the performance at 7 p.m. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased online here, or reservations can be made at the parish life table on Sunday mornings. Tickets will also be available at the door.

What are Cafe Nights? All Saints’ Café Nights are evenings scheduled throughout the program year, when we bring a variety of genres of entertainment to the stage in Ellis Hall. These evenings are informal, fun and inspiring nights to come together and share great performances from varying artists. This year we have seen rousing musical performances from the All Saints’ choirs, a sensational storyteller in Minton Sparks and a poetry reading from nationally known poet Peggy Shriver.
